GenGle (pronounced: "gen-gle") is an online and offline community for Italian single parents. The name combines "genitore" (parent) and "single" and represents the identity of those who, while raising children alone, don't want to give up on socializing.

It's not a traditional social network, not a dating app, not a generic forum: GenGle is a space designed exclusively for single, separated, divorced, or widowed parents seeking real friendships and mutual support.

The platform is available as a website and smartphone app (iOS and Android), and can be used in Italian and English.

How GenGle was born: the story

GenGle was born in 2019 from an idea by Giuditta Pasotto, a single mom who, after her separation, felt the lack of a dedicated space to meet other parents in her same situation. She wasn't looking for a partner — she was looking for friends: people to organize a park outing, an evening aperitivo, or a vacation with kids.

Together with Davide Zanon, a developer and single dad, the project took shape: from a Facebook group to a complete platform with events, forums, provincial chats, and a security system based on trust and community.

GenGle's mission

GenGle's mission is simple and clear: connecting single parents in real life. Not virtually, not through likes or followers, but through shared experiences: a pizza on Saturday night, a walk by the lake, a museum visit with the kids.

GenGle believes that single parenting shouldn't mean loneliness. Every parent deserves a solid, reliable, and safe network of friendships — and GenGle exists to make this possible across all of Italy.
