Community Rules

GenGle's operational rules

GenGle is a community for single parents and their children: a space to meet, help each other, propose activities, attend events and build real relationships in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

These Community Rules define operational rules. They protect people, make life on the platform clearer and help every user contribute positively.

By using GenGle, the user accepts these Rules together with the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Code of Ethics and the Safety page. In case of violations, GenGle may take the measures provided by the applicable documents and the law.

GenGle is mainly for single parents — biological, adoptive or social parents living autonomous parenthood, by choice or due to circumstances such as separation, divorce, bereavement, new family arrangements or similar.

For GenGle, being a single parent means feeling responsible for the care, growth, education and wellbeing of one's children, even when one's relational or family situation changes over time.

The presence of new partners, friends, relatives or other people close to the user is allowed only within the platform's limits, in particular through the rules on external guests.

GenGle is not a dating platform, not a space for unauthorised commercial promotions, and not a place to publicly handle personal, family or relational conflicts.

Every user contributes to the quality and safety of the Community.

GenGle users commit to:

respect other users, their children and their personal situations

use a civil, constructive and non-aggressive tone

not make others uncomfortable, isolate, threaten, manipulate or harass them

not use the platform for purposes other than those of the Community

follow the rules of events, groups, chats and discussion spaces

report wrong, dangerous or rule-breaking behaviour

not bypass suspensions, limitations or moderation decisions

The Community works when everyone does their part: taking part in GenGle also means taking care of the shared space.

Community safety requires authentic profiles and correct information.

The user must provide real, complete, truthful and up-to-date data. Fake profiles, impersonation, accounts created on behalf of third parties without authorisation or intentionally misleading information are not allowed.

The platform may allow a display name or nickname where provided. This does not remove the obligation to give GenGle correct identifying data when required for registration, safety, event management, verification or Community protection.

In particular cases, the use of a pseudonym may be assessed by GenGle, especially where there are valid reasons of confidentiality or personal protection.

GenGle may ask the user to update or verify profile information. Incomplete, fake, misleading or abusive accounts may be limited, suspended or closed.

In GenGle we often talk about real life: children, separations, new relationships, personal difficulties, events, friendships and family paths. That is why privacy is a core Community rule.

It is forbidden to:

share externally screenshots, recordings, messages, chats, posts, profiles or information obtained inside GenGle

share private conversations without the consent of the people involved

publish other users' personal data, including phone numbers, addresses, emails, social profiles, frequented places, schools, habits or family information

use information learned in GenGle to judge, control, expose, discredit or pressure someone

take stories, confidences or personal details of other users outside the Community

Violating these rules may lead to content removal, feature limitations, account suspension or closure, in addition to any consequences provided by law.

Users may upload images and visual content only if they hold the necessary rights and authorisations.

It is forbidden to publish photos or videos of other people, including minors, without proper authorisation or in a way harmful to their dignity, safety or privacy.

Images of minors must be handled with particular care. It is not allowed to publish or share content that could expose a minor, make them improperly identifiable or endanger their safety and privacy.

Photos or videos taken at GenGle events may only be shared in compliance with platform rules, participants' privacy and the consent of identifiable people.

Any use of images, photos or videos for promotional, social, advertising, editorial or external communication purposes by GenGle, Meeters SRL, sponsors or partners requires, where necessary, specific notice and separate, optional and revocable consent.

Content that violates the law, third-party rights, the Terms of Service, the Code of Ethics, the Safety page or these Rules is not allowed.

In particular, it is forbidden to publish or share content that is:

offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, violent or humiliating

sexually explicit, pornographic or inappropriate, especially if referring to or evocative of minors

threatening, intimidating, persecutory or harassing

deceptive, fraudulent or aimed at scams

containing third parties' personal data without authorisation

inciting hatred, violence, exclusion or aggressive opposition

offensively generalising categories of people, such as "all women", "all men", "fathers", "mothers" or similar

promoting propaganda, systematic controversies or content not consistent with the Community's spirit

providing medical, psychological, legal or educational advice in an absolute, dangerous way or as a substitute for qualified professionals

GenGle may remove content that is inappropriate, inconsistent with Community values or contrary to applicable rules.

GenGle cannot be used for unauthorised promotional, commercial or recruitment activities.

It is forbidden to:

publish unauthorised ads, offers, promotions or commercial messages

harvest user contacts for commercial, professional, political, associative or promotional purposes

use events, chats, forum or private messages to sell products or services

promote network marketing, external groups, competing communities or unrelated initiatives

create events or conversations whose main purpose is to move users outside GenGle

Anyone wishing to propose collaborations, partnerships or commercial initiatives must contact GenGle through official channels. Any unauthorised promotion may be removed and the account may be limited, suspended or closed.

Chats, messages, forum and comments serve to facilitate exchange, getting to know each other and organising Community activities.

It is forbidden to use these tools to:

harass, insist or pressure other users

send unwanted or repeated messages

keep writing after a refusal or a clear lack of response

ask for money, sensitive data, personal favours or confidential information

spread offensive, sexual, discriminatory or harmful content involving minors

forcibly move conversations to external channels

take screenshots, recordings or share them without authorisation

Conversations on GenGle must remain respectful, relevant and consistent with the Community's purpose.

Events are central to GenGle. They allow single parents and their children to meet, build relationships and share experiences.

Unless otherwise stated, events are proposed and organised by users. Whoever organises an event takes responsibility for providing correct, complete and transparent information.

Each event should clearly state:

what is being done

where it takes place

date and time

any costs

age or characteristics of children involved, if relevant

maximum number of participants, if any

any requirements, difficulties, materials needed or particular conditions

any rules set by the organiser

Events that are intentionally vague, incomplete, misleading or created to harvest contacts, sell services, move users outside the platform or provide essential details only in private are not allowed.

Registering for an event means making a commitment to the organiser and other participants.

The user commits to:

register only if they really intend to attend

cancel in time if they can no longer attend

not show up without registration or confirmation

not bring undeclared or non-allowed guests

follow the organiser's instructions and the event's rules

behave respectfully throughout the activity

supervise the minors they bring

Late cancellations, unjustified absences, presence without registration or breaches of event rules may affect user reliability and lead to limitations, reports or other proportionate measures. Event participation is under the user's personal responsibility. GenGle facilitates the creation and discovery of activities but cannot guarantee user behaviour, the quality of venues, event execution or the absence of unforeseen events, unless otherwise expressly stated.

Each event may have a dedicated chat for the organiser and participants to share practical information.

The event chat must be used only for communications relevant to the activity. It must not be used for controversies, promotions, contact harvesting, personal pressure or conversations inconsistent with the event's purpose.

All rules on respect, privacy, screenshots, personal data and correct behaviour also apply to the event chat.

GenGle events are intended for the Community and any guests admitted under platform rules.

It is not allowed to share GenGle events on external groups, chats, social platforms or channels without authorisation, when this could expose participants, minors, places, personal data or internal Community dynamics.

Anyone wishing to invite an external person must use the platform's features and follow the guest rules.

External guests may be admitted only when the platform allows it and within the limits set for each event.

External guests are an occasional possibility, not a way to bypass GenGle registration or turn Community events into unregulated private meetings.

The user inviting a guest:

must provide correct guest data, where required

must inform the guest about Community rules

is responsible for the guest's conduct during the event

must ensure the guest is actually allowed at the event

must respect any limits on the number of guests

Users already registered on GenGle cannot be added as external guests to bypass normal event registration. Inviting people previously suspended, excluded or removed from GenGle as guests is forbidden, unless previously authorised by the platform.

The platform may include proposals for trips, weekends or multi-day activities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such proposals are community-led and follow the same rules as events.

Whoever proposes a trip or multi-day activity must clearly state destination, dates, indicative costs, organisational arrangements, any bookings, responsibilities, presence of minors, deadlines and relevant conditions.

GenGle does not act as a travel agency, tour operator or tourism intermediary for activities self-managed by users, unless expressly stated and under specific dedicated conditions.

Any economic, organisational or logistical relationship between users must be handled transparently and in compliance with the law.

Protecting minors is the absolute priority.

It is forbidden to:

publish minors' data, images or information without proper legitimacy

share schools, addresses, habits, routines, frequented places or other identifying details

mock, expose or use children as a subject of controversy

publish sexual, ambiguous, suggestive or inappropriate content referring to minors

attempt improper contact with minors

behave in ways that may endanger children's safety, dignity or wellbeing

During events and activities, every parent, guardian or accompanying adult remains responsible for the supervision, safety and care of the minors they bring. In case of risk, suspected abuse, grooming, threat or danger to minors, GenGle may act immediately and, where necessary, inform the relevant authorities.

GenGle is not the place to publicly handle conflicts with ex-partners, relatives, other parents or other users.

It is forbidden to use the Community to:

publicly accuse identifiable people

discredit ex-partners or other users

bring unverifiable private disputes onto the platform

ask the Community to take sides in personal conflicts

use children, separations or family events as tools of pressure or delegitimisation

When a personal situation creates discomfort, risk or conflict within GenGle, the user is invited to use the reporting tools or available channels, avoiding public escalation. If both parents of a minor are on GenGle, any problematic situations will be assessed case by case, considering safety, user behaviour, child protection and Community rules.

GenGle may have Community reference figures such as Tutors, Referrers, Ambassadors or other recognisable roles on the platform.

These figures may help welcome new users, propose events, facilitate participation, help with onboarding and support the Community.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Tutors, Referrers or similar figures:

are not legal representatives of Meeters SRL

cannot bind the company

do not guarantee user behaviour

do not replace official channels for support, privacy, moderation or reporting

must follow the same rules as all users

Users are invited to cooperate with these figures when they provide guidance consistent with the Rules, the Code of Ethics, the Safety page and the smooth running of events.

Anyone witnessing or experiencing rule-breaking behaviour is invited to report it through the platform's tools or official channels.

It is especially important to report in case of:

harassment, threats, stalking or persistent pressure

dangerous or predatory behaviour

risks to minors

scams, money requests or manipulation

fake profiles or impersonation

disclosure of personal data, screenshots or private conversations

serious violations during events

unauthorised promotions or contact harvesting

attempts to bypass suspensions or bans

Reports are reviewed confidentially and prioritised by severity. Cases involving minors, threats, stalking, violence, scams or immediate risk receive top priority. Reports must be used responsibly. False, defamatory, instrumental, retaliatory or abusive reports are forbidden.

GenGle may moderate content, profiles, events, chats, messages, reviews or activities that breach the law, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Code of Ethics, the Safety page or these Rules.

Depending on severity, context, repetition and risk to the Community, GenGle may take measures such as:

warning

content removal

temporary feature limitation

exclusion from specific events or activities

reduction of visibility or access to some features

temporary account suspension

permanent account closure

report to the relevant authorities, where necessary

In the most serious cases, GenGle may act without notice, especially in case of risks to minors, threats, stalking, harassment, fraud, privacy violations, illegal content, bypass of suspensions or dangerous conduct.

GenGle may use reliability indicators or Karma to value positive behaviour and protect Community quality.

These indicators may consider, for example:

actual event participation

late cancellations

unjustified absences

event organisation

useful contributions to the Community

founded reports

rule compliance and general behaviour

The goal is not to punish, but to foster a more reliable, respectful and safe Community. Reliability may affect, as set out by the platform and applicable documents, the visibility of some information, access to some features or participation in certain events. Users can review the information available on their profile and, where applicable, request clarifications or report errors.

Official GenGle channels are those indicated on the platform, the website and updated documents.

For safety issues, misconduct or rule violations, users must primarily use the reporting tools available on the platform.

For requests regarding personal data, users can write to privacy@gengle.it.

Social channels are not the priority channel to handle urgent reports, sensitive cases, privacy requests or situations involving minors.

22. Frequently asked questions

What does "single parent" mean?

Parent means biological, adoptive or social parent who feels responsible for the care, growth, health and education of their children. Single means a personal or family condition where the parent lives or manages parenthood autonomously, by choice or due to circumstances such as separation, divorce, bereavement or new family arrangements.

What if I find a new partner?

Starting a new relationship, cohabiting or remarrying does not automatically erase the user's parental path, identity and responsibility. GenGle recognises that family life can evolve. The presence of a new partner at events or in the Community is allowed only within the guest rules and platform features.

What if I get back together permanently with the other parent?

If the user's family situation changes permanently and no longer matches the Community's nature, the user is invited to update their profile or contact GenGle to assess proper account handling. GenGle may limit or close accounts no longer consistent with Community requirements, under the Terms of Service and applicable rules.

What if my ex-partner registers?

Both parents may be present in the Community, except in case of risk, misconduct, rule violations or specific protection needs. GenGle cannot replace authorities, professionals or legal decisions in family disputes. Concrete issues must be reported through the available tools, avoiding public accusations or Community conflicts. Each situation will be assessed case by case, considering safety, child protection, user behaviour and platform rules.

Can I add my child to an event later?

It depends on event characteristics, available slots, organisation and activity suitability. The right approach is to check the event information and, if needed, ask the organiser through the available channels.

Can I bring external guests?

Only if the event and the platform allow it. Guests must be declared in the prescribed way and must follow GenGle's rules. Guests must not be used to bypass registration, let already registered users join without proper signup or involve people removed from the Community.

Can I share a GenGle event on other platforms?

GenGle events are intended for the Community. They must not be shared on external groups, chats, social platforms or channels without authorisation, especially when this could expose participants, minors, places or internal dynamics.

Can I promote myself or my business?

No, not without authorisation. GenGle is not a space for ads, sales, network marketing, contact harvesting or disguised promotions. For collaborations or partnerships, contact GenGle through official channels.

23. Updates to the Rules

GenGle may update these Rules for legal, technical, organisational, safety or Community-evolution reasons. Changes will be made available on the platform or communicated in ways proportionate to their relevance. Continued use of GenGle after an update means acceptance of the new rules, except where express acceptance is required.

24. A simple rule

Before posting, writing, inviting, commenting, organising or attending, ask yourself:

"Am I behaving as I would in person, in front of people and children?"

If the answer is no, don't do it.

GenGle grows when each person helps make it safer, more respectful and more useful for everyone.
